Five "Action Packed" Stars
This is the first book in an epic vampire/vampire hunter series that author, Graeme Rodaughan has created and when I stepped into this series back in 2016 I was not expecting a series of books that are loaded with pulse pounding action and intrigue.
A taste of what is within this book:
The main character, Anton Slayne lets a beautiful woman into his home not realizing that she is up to no good until she murders his parents before his eyes. What he endures from that point forward sends his world reeling as he finds out that dangerous creatures walk the earth and he ends up joining with forces that battle them.
Thoughts:
This first book I literally read within 24 hours as the action, suspense, and intrigue kept me glued to my kindle. There was no way I was laying down this book with so much action that was lighting up behind my eyes.
The writing style of the author is excellent and the action scenes that he weaves within the story are masterful! Reading the action scenes literally becomes a movie reel in your head as the visual aspects of the scenes flows in your mind.
There are loads of characters and supporting characters in this series and there are quite a few just within this story. This book must be read first though as this series is not stand alone. Everything that happens in this story continues on to the next book along with the characters as well.
This series is far from over and it is still a work in progress. Also I have read this book four times as with so much that happens within this series I have made it a habit to reread the books to keep everything fresh when the author releases the next one as there are tons of moving parts within all the books.
