The Bookshop From Hell

Terror Ride Into Hell

This book is one of my favorites by author, David Haynes. I read this book at the beginning of this year and it pulled me in right away. Interesting enough this book took me on a careening ride of terror and I read the last half of the book in 24 hours! I started to literally read it on January 5th and by January 8th I was already past the half way point of the book which sent me moving at super sonic speed toward the end with little to no sleep!

I have been reading this author for awhile and have read quite a few of his books! This book to me was icing on the cake to start out the new year as the title just grabbed me!

I am not going to elaborate on a review for it as you can check out my review in every detail below on my link to Goodreads, but I will say this: This book kept me up a lot as I would put it down for awhile, but my fingers kept grabbing my kindle to pick it back up as curiosity was killing me to see what would happen next!

So if you have not read this author then go grab this book and venture into The Bookshop From Hell!

Thoughts - Book Mistakes

My thoughts for today are about mistakes found in books.

I have never been one to care either way about mistakes found within pages of books as I think of it like this: We are all human and no one is perfect including authors. Sometimes people go into books hoping to find something wrong so that they can then bash the book through a review. To me this is not right as I feel that when I read a book I just want to sit down and lose myself in the story. So what if there are mistakes or errors in the book it shouldn't deter from the story. There is a saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" - well I am going to re-coin that phrase and say "Don't judge a book by its mistakes".

When I sit down to read a story, I am not going into the book wondering what mistakes I will find. I just want to travel out of my reality and lose myself in another realm. That is what books are all about.

So those are my thoughts for today. Happy reading folks! :)

A Subtle Agency Omnibus by Graeme Rodaughan

I dedicate my first blog to this book series as I positively love this series! It first hooked its "fangs" in me back in 2016 and has not let go of me yet! The series is still a work in progress and I love this series so much that I do a reread of the books every time the author releases a new one as I like to keep things fresh in my mind of the events of the books. Loaded with vampires, factions-organizations, military vehicles, high-tech gadgets, movie cinematic action, and all kinds of characters. Six books in the series so far including this Omnibus that just released back in March.

In my honest opinion, this series is one of the best urban fantasy vampire action series out there as the author has created a world of vampire/vampire hunter action the likes that has never been seen in a series. This series literally "rocks" and if you want a series that will keep you awake nights turning pages at lightning speed then you need to get your hands on this series of books! I guarantee that you will not be disappointed!
