Five "Haunted Manor Ghosts" Stars

Shivering Spooks!

A small taste of what lies within:

Belinda Moorland goes to stay with a family as a governess to look after the children of Eric Manning. The home of Eric Manning is a haunted manor though at the time of her arrival she is unaware of that interesting tidbit. However, once she is given a grand tour of the place she is advised that she has access to the whole manor except for one area that is off limits - which is the East wing.

The more she gets settled into the place the more she realizes that something is afoot as she starts experiencing odd dreams along with hearing and seeing things. Belinda seems to get along with all the staff except for Cordelia Heller who is an evil tyrant and tries to make life miserable for Belinda any way she can.

Belinda learns early on that the manor has a very unsavory past with suicide, murders, devil worship, witchcraft, etc to the point that she wonders what she has got herself into but she is determined to stay there and help out the best way she can even though the ghosts of the past are trying to intrude on her future!

Why is the East Wing off limits? Why is the manor haunted? What mysteries lie within the manor that Belinda discovers? Why is Heller on a war path against Belinda?

These are questions that will only be answered by reading the book so go check it out if you are intrigued.

Thoughts:

I have owned this book for a long time and just now stepping into it. I was impressed of how quick I was drawn into the storyline and the flow of the story just took me along for a ride right from the beginning of the book.

When I first started reading the book I read quite a bit of it in one sitting as the storyline just grabbed me and I kept wanting to read the story to see what would happen next.  This story felt like a gothic ghost story mystery though it delves down deep into some "walk on the wild side" content as well which kept me pushing forward to see what would be happening next to the character, Belinda.

I really loved all the characters in this one even the evil character Heller spiced up this book that kept me glued to my kindle as I kept wanting to see where this story was going to take me. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series of Ravencrest along with more books by both of these authors as I have a couple or so by each one of them individually and together.
