Dracula in the Cinema (Vampire Movies) by Laura Cremonini

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Vamp Bites" Stars

There is no small taste with this book as the whole book is about all the vampire movies that have been released in the past.

Thoughts:

This was a different kind of a book - I was expecting more intricate details of the movies themselves and more about the cast that played the parts. What I ended up getting was basic background info of the movie that came out and what the movie was about. It was an interesting book - quite short though and it had lots of movie scene pictures.

Though I have to admit some of the vampire movies I have never seen and I still have not come across the path of some of those movies which makes me wonder if they are in a movie vault somewhere hidden out.

All in all it was a good book and I am glad that I read it as I have owned the book for a few years.

The Bishop's Legacy (World of Shadows #3) by Lincoln Cole

πŸ‘ΏπŸ‘ΏπŸ‘ΏπŸ‘Ώ

Four "Devilish Demon" Stars

Spooky Shivers!

A small taste of what lies within:

Arthur and Father Niccolo Paladina are back in this last installment to wrap up the Bishop's well laid plans and to find out what evil that the Bishop nurtured and created with the children that he was controlling. The children all have some sort of demonic powers and are able to do unimaginable things that will test the will and strength of Arthur and Father Paladina against the evil forces that the children have become!

That is about all I can give on a small taste as if you want to know more then go read this trilogy of books!

Thoughts:

This last installment of the trilogy, World of Shadows comes to final end as the author wraps up everything within this last book. The story just finally comes together along with all the demonic vibes pulsating throughout the story. There is lots of action and creepy things happening that kept me on the edge of my seat as I wasn't quite sure how it was all going to end.

I have really enjoyed reading this trilogy and plan on seeing what other books the author has out there to read.

What Hides Within by Jason Parent

☀  ☀  ☀  ☀

Four "Spider Hider" Stars

Comedy Horror!

A small taste of what lies within:

Clive Menard is out for a boat ride with his girlfriend when he becomes entangled in a spider cobweb and then accidentally falls overboard into the water. When he gets back in the boat his ears are water logged and he cannot figure out why the water will not flush out from his ear. Little does he know that something is lodged down deep into his ear and things go from bad to worse in the following days to come!

That is about all I can give on a small taste without giving away spoilers so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This story was unique with how the story unfolds and there is quite a bit of humor laced within the storyline that made me giggle and laugh out loud a few times. I wasn't expecting really comedy horror until I became more involved in the storyline and I really liked all the characters in this book including Clive as I felt sorry for him with all what he goes through in the book.

The story flows along at a good pace as I wanted to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next to poor Clive. There was some tension moments too along with some suspense. All in all this was a great story and I really enjoyed how it all played out over the course of the book.

The Picture of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by David Kempf

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Picture Perfect" Stars!

Unique Twist!

A small taste of what lies within:

Jekyll/Hyde is rampaging through the streets causing terror but one man decides to try and stop the terror by doing something that will make Hyde stop the chaos he is causing!

That is about all I can give on a small taste without giving away spoilers as this book is super short so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This author's short stories keep me coming back for more as all of the stories throw the reader right into the storyline with no buildup of background setup. You are tossed into the mixer and thrown right into all what is happening! Another great short story by this author and looking forward to reading more soon as he has quite a few books out there!

All Souls Night by Aislinn Marshall

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Spooky Folklore" Stars

Atmospherically Creepy!

A small taste of what lies within:

A small town in Ireland is the focus of this story as Kit Fitzgerald decides to move there as she is offered a job in the town. It isn't long before she makes new friends who invite her to a Halloween festival but things go awry when they talk her into participating in a ritual that is part of their festival.

From that point on Kit is stalked in her home by unseen forces and she wonders if she is losing her mind or if something really is after her. With the help of her new friends she will need to find out what exactly is haunting her home and was it something to do with the ritual!

That is about all I can hand out on a small taste so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This was my first time reading this author and I have owned the book for quite a few years now on my kindle. The story grabbed me kind of quick - it started out a little slow but picked up speed fairly quickly as there was some background building to do before things got rolling.

I really liked the characters in this story and the creepiness along with some dread and suspense just weaved itself throughout the story. The story is wrapped around quite a bit of folklore which took me deep into the storyline. Really enjoyed this spooky tale and it is too bad that the author only has two books out as I would love to read more of her work.

The Evil Within The House by Thomas Michael Thomas

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Occult Chiller" Stars

Spooky Story!

A small taste of what lies within:

Jake and Clarence are upset when their friend, Terrell commits suicide as they don't understand why he would do that so they decide to see if they can talk to him through a Ouija board to find out some answers to their questions. But what the two friends don't realize is that sometimes who you reach out to through a Ouija board is not who you want and the friends end up pulling "something" else through from the other side!

That is about all I can give on a small taste without giving away spoilers so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This was my first time reading this author and I felt that the creepiness of the book seeped under my skin! The feeling of dread and suspense as the characters were playing around with the Ouija board just gave me some anxiety while reading the story as I knew something was going to happen.

I was not disappointed with this story as the whole book was drenched in the occult with lots of shadowy characters that gave me some really weird dreams. I liked the characters within this book though I think the book would be considered YA as it has that feel to it, but all in all the story would probably be good to read around Halloween time. Looking forward to seeing what else this author has out there.

Pentagrams by J.D. Allen

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Five "Dark and Scary Demon" Stars

Creepy and Spooky!

A small taste of what lies within:

A young girl named Heaven is on the streets of San Francisco as her mother passed away but little does the girl know that something bad is terrorizing the streets as an evil serial killer is on a collision course with Heaven and will stop at nothing to cause terror within the town!

That is about all I can give on a small taste without giving away spoilers so if you want to know more than go read this book!

Thoughts:

This was one scary and creepy story as it goes deep into the occult which will spook you out of your skin! Loved the characters in this one as they were fleshed out well and the shivering terror that lies deep within the story is slowly brought forth in dread and suspense!

This is a big book with 500 pages but the spookiness of the story kept me buried within its pages and the terror of the demon along with all the characters of what they went through kept me reading this book at the speed of light!

The author keeps the suspense and horror slowly building then the story takes off into demonic terror! Another great book by this author and this one was right down my "shivering street" as I love reading about occult stories that keep me on the edge of my seat and giving me bad dreams. Had some creepy wild dreams with this story!
