Forest of the Damned by Lee Mountford

Five "Camping Creepy" Stars

This was one spooky ride!

A small taste of what lies within:

Four friends that are paranormal researchers decide to go hiking/camping out into the Black Forest as they have heard rumors that the forest is haunted and they want to capture some evidence of the activity.

The problem is they think that nothing will happen to them once they are out there, but when one of their own goes missing and seems to be "taken" out of the tent is when the friends get scared and wondered what took him. What really bothers them is that none of them heard anything during the night. Do they find their friend or do they find something not of this world?

That is about all I can give on a small taste as you will need to read my full review on Goodreads.

Thoughts:

Creepy and scary story as it makes you never want to go camping again knowing that something could be roaming around that might snatch you out of your bedroll! I have read quite a few camping horror stories and I don't think I will be camping ever! lol

The author does an excellent job of building up the suspense and terror which the pace stays steady throughout the book. The writing style as always flows along and just keeps you pinned in your seat as you make your way through the creepy story.

Another great book by this author and another book added to my favorites shelf!
