I Bought a Haunted Christmas Tree Farm by Sam Whittaker

🎄🎄🎄🎄

Four "Tinsel Tree Terror" Stars

When You Inherit a Farm Always Check for Spooks!

A small taste of what lies within:

Roger and his family have inherited a Christmas tree farm but though he doesn't really know much about growing trees he doesn't look a gift horse in the mouth so he moves his family to the farm.

However as time goes on there are some quirky things that happen on the farm that makes the family wonder what they got themselves into and wondering what is happening on the farm with the weird things happening to them.

Thoughts:

This was my second book by this author and I really enjoyed the story. The book is set up as an Advent Calendar where you would read a chapter every day however I just read the whole thing as I became caught up in the story line and wanted to keep reading.

The story had some spookiness to it but different things that happened in the story made me chuckle some too. It wasn't a scary horror story but just a fun and festive holiday horror book that captured my attention. Looking forward to reading more books by this author as it seems he has quite a few books out there.

A Christmas Haunting by Blake Croft & Ashley Raven

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Haunting Holiday Horror" Stars

What Lurks in the Family Photo Album?

A small taste of what lies within:

Vincent and his wife Ally are trying to deal with the loss of his parents right before Christmas. Vincent starts to go through all his parents belongings in their home but when he comes across the family photo album he notices something strange with all the pictures.

All the pictures have some sort of anomaly within each photo and the same image lies throughout all the photos. Upon closer inspection, Vincent realizes that the anomaly is really a ghost girl embedded within each picture! What is going on and why do all the pictures have this ghost girl?

That is about all I can hand out with a small taste so if you want to know more then go read this short story!

Thoughts:

This short story packs a holiday punch as there is quite a bit of suspense and intrigue throughout the story then the pace picks up when more is revealed with the characters. The short story is not spooky or scary but it has a few creepy moments but it mostly becomes a holiday haunting tale of emotion and mystery.

This was my second book by these authors and it won't be my last as they have quite a few books out there to read. Looking forward to stepping into more of their work in the future.

A Christmas Warning by David Kempf

 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Twisted Scrooge" Stars

A small taste of what lies within:

Ebenezer Scrooge is on a mission to help out a mean miser that is on his way to hell as the Christmas ghosts will do anything to carry out their mission!

That is about all I can hand out with a small taste as this is a super short story and I don't want to give out spoilers, so if you are intrigued then go read this book!

Thoughts:

The author, David Kempf takes the classic Scrooge story and gives it a hard twist for this short story driving home to the reader that even Scrooge has a soft spot in his heart to help others.

The pace of the story is fast and I read it all in one sitting. I have come to love stories by this author as he takes classic tales and gives them a slight twist with adding some flair to the tale.

I have a handful of books on my kindle to read yet by this author and look forward to stepping into a couple more next year.

Slay Bells Ring by J.D. Allen

Four "Holiday Horrors" Stars

Creepy Collection of Stories

I am not doing a small taste this time as this book is a collection of Christmas horror stories that will draw blood and then mix it in with all the Christmas cheer of the holiday!

Stories and poems in this book are as follows:

The Twelve Nights of Christmas

Silent Nights

Maul Santa

The Snowman

I'm Dreaming of a Red Christmas

The Christmas Carolers of Chaos

Snow Angels

Humbug!

Down Thru the Chimney

Re-Gifted

Secret Santa

Do Not Open Till Christmas!

He Sees You When You're Sleeping - He Knows When You're Awake

The Gingerbread Men

T'Was The Night After Christmas

Thoughts:

All the stories and poems were great! I enjoyed all of them so it is hard to pick favorites out of this collection!

Holiday stories are fun to read especially when there are horrors that lie within them and this book had a few story collections of Christmas stories gone wrong and weird. There are also a few poems too that were fun to read. All in all a great collection of the bizarre and strange of Christmas horror stories.
