Try Not to Die: At Ghostland: An Interactive Adventure by Duncan Ralston and Mark Tullius

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Five "Twisted Ghosts Terror" Stars

Ghostland - Escape is the Key!

A small taste of what lies within:

Lucky and her friends decide to go check out Ghostland which is a new theme park where people can check out ghosts but when a glitch happens and the ghosts are released into the park is when things go wrong for Lucky and her friends!

That is about all I can hand out with a small taste so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This was a great book with interactive prompts that can either give paths of escape or paths to an untimely end. I remember reading interactive books years ago so this was cool to read this book which is wrapped around the Ghostland trilogy which I have read.

The interactive features with the different paths were interesting and entertaining - I felt that to experience the book deeply was to try out the different paths just to see where they took me.

The Beastly Whispers (The Spinner Chronicles Book 1) by Jed Kent

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Mythical Monster Mystery" Stars

What Kind of Killer is on the Loose?

A small taste of what lies within:

FBI agent James Steele is on the trail of a killer that seems to rip apart bodies. At first when Steele is called in the locals just assume that a bear is on the loose but something doesn't feel right to Steele that it is any kind of  animal attack - he knows there that is something else behind the attacks which leads him towards a possible mythical lore creature and he is going to do whatever it takes to bring the killer to justice!

That is about all I can hand out with a small taste without giving away spoilers so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This is my second book by this author and I was drawn into the story right away with the mystery of who or what was leaving a trail of bodies for the character agent Steele to find. Loved the characters in this book along with the supporting characters and the story itself moves along at a good pace.

Though this book is not just another murder mystery as there are traces of the supernatural interwoven into the story line as well which takes this book up a notch into the crime/horror genre. I found myself reading the story late into the night and I read the last 30% of the book in just about two hours as I could not break away from where the author was taking me as the story started to escalate with finding out about the killer.

This book is the first book in the Spinner Chronicles series and I have book two simmering on my kindle as I want to see what is in store for Agent Steele in book two soon.
