All the Fiends of Hell by Adam L.G. Nevill

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Twisted Terror Invasion" Stars

Be Watchful of the Skies!

A small taste of what lies within:

Karl has been sick and under the weather but he wakes up to the sound of bells ringing wondering what is going on causing him to glance out the window seeing people being taken into a blood red sky. Though Karl gets a rude awakening when he ventures out later in the morning into his neighborhood and finds out that his neighbors are missing which sends him into a horror filled panic as now he wonders what did he see during the night - was it real or was it a dream?

That is about all I can hand out with a small taste so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This was a different kind of book for author, Adam Nevill as he strayed away from his normal routine with folklore stories - he decided to step into aliens and an earth invasion instead.  This is my fifth book by this author and as usual the author goes into descriptive details of everything taking place and what the character Karl has to endure in the invasion.

There was tons of tension and suspense in this story which kept my insomnia fueled a couple or so nights as the pace of what was happening kept me wanting to find out what was going to happen next! Another great book by this author and looking forward to what Nevill has in store for us readers in the future!

Blood, Death, and Fears: The Haunting of Old South Pittsburg Hospital by Richard Estep

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Boo Spooky" Stars

Creepy Vibes!

A small taste of what lies within:

Paranormal Investigator and author of this book, Richard Estep and his paranormal crew explore and interact with spirits from a closed down and abandoned hospital called "Old South Pittsburg Hospital" (OSPH for short and located in Tennessee) as they wanted to find out for themselves if spirits and bad energies were trapped inside the hospital.

Thoughts:

This book goes deep into details of the old hospital as the author and investigator, Richard Estep interviews staff from when the hospital was active and when it was starting to go downhill as Estep wanted to know what caused the hospital to be considered haunted. Estep also does quite a bit of debunking which means he makes sure that the rumors he has heard about the place are in fact rumors or if the rumors are true.

The writing style of this author just flows along as he tells the experiences of what others have gone through and then the story kicks up a notch when Estep and his team set out to investigate the hospital. The first 30% or so of the book is mostly interviews with staff that once worked there then the last part of the book is all about Estep and his crew with their experiences of their paranormal investigation. This is my second book that I have read by Estep and look forward to reading more of his true paranormal accounts of haunted locations.

House of Decay by Boris Bacic

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Four "Gore Terror" Stars

Do Not Explore Abandoned Homes!

A small taste of what lies within:

High school friends, Tyler, Caleb, and Quinn will be heading off to college so they decide to do one last road trip adventure together. The friends go down a lonesome dirt road just to see where it takes them and they find an old house that looks to be abandoned.

Tyler and Quinn dare Caleb to go inside the house and explore but when Caleb enters the home without returning Tyler and Quinn get worried so they enter the house as well to look for Caleb.

The friends find more than they bargained for inside the house as someone is home and they are not happy that three teenagers have entered their domain!

That is about all I can hand out with a small taste so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This book starts off with a bang and then continues at that speed throughout the entire book as when the teenage characters enter the house the author ratchets up the terror! The book has tons of extreme situations within the story and the book goes into gore overdrive as the author keeps kicking it up a notch!

This was my second book by this author and I really like his writing style as he pulls me into the story quick and keeps me there for the duration of the book. Looking forward to reading more books by this author in the future!

The Silver Dagger (The Vampires of Crimson Cove #2) by Alistair Cross

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Five "Bloody Fangs" Stars

Enter Crimson Cove At Your Own Risk!

A small taste of what lies within:

Brothers Brooks and Cade Coulter are back in this second installment as things escalated in book one as Brooks and Cade were tossed into a vampire nest with things taking a bad turn however the main vampire, Gretchen was supposed to have been laid to rest but vampires are not known for dying easily and Brooks and Cade are thrown right back into the mist of fighting for their lives!

That is about all I can hand out with a small taste so if you want to know more then go read this series!

Thoughts:

This second book just grabbed me and pulled me right back into this world of Crimson Cove. The story comes alive as vampires start emerging and the Colter brothers are tossed around inside a blender of emotions as both brothers end up on opposite sides as things begin to heat up in Crimson Cove.

There were some breath-hitching moments with this story as things happen quickly and I had a hard time putting the book down! The story stays at a steady pace throughout the book and really never slows down. The closer I got to the end the more things happened keeping me awake a few nights as the pace picked up speed! Looking forward to book three to see what happens next in the Crimson Cove saga!

Heirloom by Graham Masterton

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Five "Haunted Hell" Stars

What Would You Do With A Haunted Chair?

A small taste of what lies within:

Ricky Delatolla is an antiques dealer. A man by the name of Mr. Grant stops at Ricky's house with a truck load of antiques wanting to sell them to Ricky but Ricky is hesitant about the antiques until he sees a chair that has unusual carvings on it. Mr. Grant is eager to give the chair away but Ricky has a weird feeling about it all but when Mr. Grant leaves the chair in the driveway along with some other antiques then Ricky wonders what is going on.

Ricky soon finds out that the chair is not just a normal chair but a chair that has evil tendencies and he soon wishes that he never laid eyes on it as whatever is haunting the chair is ready to turn Ricky's life upside down!

That is about all I can hand out with a small taste so if you want to know more then go read this book!

Thoughts:

This story grabbed me right away as the author pulled me into the story quickly as I was curious about the chair and what could possibly be in store for the character Ricky. The chair is the focal point in this story and the whole book is pulsing with evil vibes as the characters have to deal with a portal to hell chair that they cannot get rid of!

This book goes deep into the occult themes along with keeping me pinned in my seat as I read half the book in one sitting as I couldn't sleep one night and stayed up a few hours as the story went into overdrive with things happening to the characters because of the evil chair!

I am never disappointed with a Masterton book and this story not only sunk its teeth into me it tossed me into the throes of hell!
